Welcome to La Bottega di Davanti, a charming café nestled in the heart of Salamanca, Madrid. Located at Calle de Nunez de Balboa, 60, this cozy spot not only serves up authentic Italian flavors but also offers a slice of Italian culture right in Spain. As you step inside, you’re welcomed by rustic décor that mirrors a traditional Italian trattoria, making it a perfect escape for your coffee breaks or casual meals.

La Bottega di Davanti specializes in a delightful array of dishes, prominently featured are their mouthwatering pinsas. Imagine diving into a Pinsa Mortadella, with its rich combination of pistachio mortadella, creamy mozzarella, and luscious straciatella di burrata — all for just €13.50. Or perhaps you’d prefer the Pinsa Quattro Formaggi, where a selection of four exquisite Italian cheeses melt together harmoniously for €12.50, creating a symphony of flavors with each bite.

But it's not just pinsas that deserve your attention. The salados—like the Cachito De Jamón, finely sliced and bursting with robust flavor, and the Cachito De Pavo Y Queso, a tender turkey with melted cheese enveloped in a soft bread—are tantalizingly priced at €3.85 each. If you haven't tried the luscious focaccias yet, don't miss the La Tartufone, filled with savory mortadella, mushroom cream, black truffle, and finished off with fresh arugula for only €10.50.

The ambiance at La Bottega di Davanti is lively yet laid-back, making it an ideal spot for a quick lunch or a leisurely afternoon coffee. Patrons have praised the exceptional service — particularly from the amiable owner, Giacomo, whose passion for gourmet Italian food shines through in every interaction. Customer reviews speak volumes, with Jorge Atiles raving about the amazing dishes and great drinks, while Gabriel Capparelli reminisces about the authentic espresso and pastries akin to those found in Italy.

While the food and service create an unforgettable experience, it's essential to note that some visitors, like Romina Kaboorani, have expressed a desire for a more relaxed dining experience, as seating time can sometimes be a concern. Despite this minor disclaimer, the warmth and hospitality of the staff and the exquisite menu create a destination worth revisiting.

Whether you're looking to unwind with friends over a scrumptious meal or simply in need of a refreshing coffee break, La Bottega di Davanti is the quintessential choice. With each dish crafted from the heart, this café is truly a testament to the joy of Italian cuisine. Make your way to Calle de Nunez de Balboa, and treat yourself to a delightful culinary adventure.

Served by italian owner. Really good expresso and pastry, just as you would get in Italy. Lots of italian products and beautiful decoration. Highly recommended for a coffee break.

I enjoyed my lunch here, taste of Parmigiana was like same as ones in Italy. What I didn’t like here was their request to leave table sooner and give it to other person. I was there for only 35 minutes and this time is even less than normal hour a person can stay in a restaurant and I found it not respectful!

Our friends took us there and our family loved it! We went back three or four times. Giacomo is a lovely host and took excellent care of us… Thanks for the food and the loughs! (Terremoto says hi ;) )
